BABY JENNIFER - A MIRACLE FROM GOD
This testimony is sent by Ani Pearman, the auntie of baby Jennifer. Baby’s name : Jennifer Grace Soewandibio (born in Surabaya on August 22, 2007) Father’s name : Adi Husada Soewandibio Mother’s name : Yuwarningsih Lukito
When baby Jennifer was in Singapore for a surgery, Ani had been requesting prayer supports from all of her friends, especially from her friends at church ICA Surabaya. On Wednesday, September 26, 2007 Ani sent sms from Singapore to her friends: “Tell everybody to be praying. Surgery maybe today, but somebody prophecied not to have surgery. Another pastor just came and felt the same way. We are postponing the surgery until Monday (October 1). Be praying for miracles between now and Monday”. Then miracles really happen… this is the testimony from Ani… PART 1: Jennifer is my newborn niece, a little over a month old. She was born with a lot of birth defects including vertebrae anomalies (hemi-vertebrae), torticolli or wry neck, one cauliflower ear (that has hearing loss), one limb anomaly (her right arm only has the upper part and then connected with three fingers), cardiac anomaly (heart has three holes but God closed them miraculously and the aorta was interrupted prior to surgery, the blood vessels also narrow and backward), trachea and esophageal pipes in the throat anomaly, kidney (was only one but God gave her another one prior to surgery. Doctors said they found it) and on top of these, she has only one lung. Praise God her brain is normal and eyes are also normal. Praise God she is a fighter and she has God's grace all over her. She has never left ICU yet from the day of her birth so she hasn't been hold much--- but Jesus is the One who holds her in His arms. She is a very sweet and precious baby. All doctors and surgeons and nurses have commented on her beauty, which, I completely agree (look at her picture). She has been a blessing to our family. My dad, my brother and sister-in-law, and all of us the whole family have been growing in the Lord through this situation. Her case has been a great blessing to the medical field at Singapore's hospitals and teams of doctors, especially NUH and KK Hospitals. And I'm sure to many more in the future. She will be a living testimony of God's love and grace throughout her life. You have been witnessing a powerful move of God. He is truly the God of miracles!!!!
PART 2 : PRAISE THE LORD!!! He is mighty to save. Baby Jennifer had a successful operation yesterday (3 Oct 2007). It went smoothly. All of us here believe she is really making history since this is the first time surgeons did open-heart surgery through the backside. They were able to fix the interrupted aorta and also checked the trachea-esophageal pipes, which, although being abnormal, they will be functional. Praise Him for answering all of our prayers. Thank you for supporting us through your prayers. We are honored to have you, faithful friends. You are our family in the Lord. Please realize that your prayers are so invaluable and uplifting, and many of these prayer points have been answered by our merciful God. He is truly merciful in Jennifer's situation. I'll update you with more details about baby Jennifer's recovery. She is in the ICU room right now. Continue praying for her fast and total convalescence. Can't help to be hopeful--- we have an amazing God!!! Praise God for His perfect care over baby Jennifer. Up to this point, she is still in ICU at KK Hospital in Singapore. We don't know the date of her release, but for sure everyday she is growing stronger and healthier. She had her surgery last Wednesday (3 Oct 2007) -- almost a week ago. It was a successful surgery in His perfect timing. Now she is out of the big tube that fed her oxygen straight to her lung. Doctors replaced that with the little oxygen tubes that go to her two nostrils. They also restrain her milk intake up to only 3 ml/ hr. (That's like half a teaspoon/hr !!!!). For a while she lost her voice, she couldn't make any noise when she cried due to the pin that was inserted in her throat. They took out the pin and yesterday she slowly had her voice back. Her wound/scar in her back from the surgery was healing up fast; maybe because it was done with laser. Wow. Technology now is amazing. She was able to sleep on her back right away after surgery!!!! She was asleep continuously for five days, then Sunday she was able to open her eyes to greet her visitors. Here are some of her photos at ICU. She has so many monitors! Please accept our gratitude for your prayers, and special thanks to Nini and Yunan, who have opened their house to our family for so many days now. May God bless your generosity and hospitality. Love, Ani 9 Oct 2007
