Luke 11:11-13

11 "You fathers—if your children ask for a fish, do you give them a snake instead? 12 Or if they ask for an egg, do you give them a scorpion? Of course not! 13 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him."
 

Acts 1:3-5

3 During the forty days after his crucifixion, he appeared to the apostles from time to time, and he proved to them in many ways that he was actually alive. And he talked to them about the Kingdom of God.

4 Once when he was eating with them, he commanded them, "Do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you the gift he promised, as I told you before. 5 John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit."
 

I. How about a refresher on the Holy Spirit?

    * The third person mentioned in the Trinity.
    * The Bible has 127 matches for Holy Spirit and the word Spirit in capitols has another 380 on top of the 127.
    * But still The HS is the most difficult to understand and describe in the Bible.


II. How much of the Holy Spirit do I have?  

    * Some Christian’s baptism in the Holy Spirit is like a sprinkling.
    * The depth of our Christianity is measured by how much of the Holy Spirit we have in us more than what we do
    * EVERY CHRISTIAN HAS A VARYING AMOUNT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THEM. John 14: 17
    * Not everyone is the same.  Romans 8:5
    * So again some Christians have more of the HS than other Christians.


III. What will Baptism in the Holy Spirit do for my walk with God and Christianity?

    * Everything we do is from strength garnered from the Holy Spirit he works in conjunction with our will.
    * A Surrendered will is something that is like a lightning rod of the Holy Spirit.
    * BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT IS AN EXTRAORDINARY AMOUNT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT GOING INTO US SIMULTANIOUSLY.
